Muscat City Tour

Grand architecture, historic forts and a bustling souq — a full day discovering Oman’s elegant capital.

Muscat is one of the Arabian Peninsula’s most elegant capitals, where whitewashed buildings, Islamic architecture and a dramatic mountain-and-sea setting come together. Unlike many capital cities, strict building codes have kept Muscat low-rise and uniform in style, giving it a distinctive, harmonious look that visitors notice immediately.

This full-day tour begins at the iconic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the very few mosques in the Gulf open to non-Muslim visitors, before continuing to Old Muscat to see the ceremonial Al Alam Palace and the Portuguese-era Mirani and Jalali forts guarding the harbor. From there, you’ll explore Omani history at the National Museum and Bait Al-Zubair, browse the atmospheric Mutrah Souq, and take in coastal views from the Royal Opera House and the Mutrah Corniche.

💡 How it works: Tell us your travel date and group size – we’ll arrange your private Muscat city tour, including hotel pick-up, an English-speaking guide and all six stops along the route.
