The Garden Route is considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. Over approximately 300 km it follows the coast between Mossel Bay and Storms River – through forests, lagoons and national parks.

South Africa is a year-round destination. The best safari season is May to September (dry season, animals are more easily spotted). Cape Town and the Garden Route are most pleasant from October to April. Whale watching is possible from June to November.
German, Austrian and Swiss nationals do not require a visa for South Africa (up to 90 days). A valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and 30 days remaining validity is required. We will advise you on all current entry requirements.

No malaria protection is required in most parts of South Africa. In Kruger National Park and some northern regions, malaria prophylaxis is recommended. We provide all health advice relevant to your individual route.
South Africa drives on the left. A rental car is ideal for many routes and gives you maximum flexibility. For safari areas we organise transfers or domestic flights. We take care of all your transport on the ground.

A: Yes, millions of tourists visit safely every year, particularly in the areas we plan itineraries around. As with any international destination, sensible precautions matter – we build private transfers and vetted local guides into every trip specifically to minimise risk.
A: It depends on your route. Cape Town, the Garden Route and most of the Western Cape are malaria-free year-round. Kruger National Park and some northern regions carry a malaria risk, so prophylaxis is often recommended there. We give you tailored health advice based on your specific itinerary.
A: Safari areas like Kruger are best from May to September, when the dry season makes wildlife easier to spot. Cape Town and the Garden Route are most pleasant from October to April. If you're combining both in one trip, we'll help you time it to get the best of each.
